Any time any good N'Chwaning Rhodochrosite shows up, all eyes come to attention, and they should - because these are long gone and no more like them have come out in 40 years! This charming small miniature has an intriguing architecture. Surrounding a classic Kutnohorite spray is a rounded crust of mm-size Rhodochrosite crystals: red, lustrous, and translucent to gemmy. The rounded mound is just about perfectly formed and preserved. Enhancing this piece, as if it really even needed it, the Rhodos have a sprinkle of Manganite crystals that add mineral interest and definitely visual interest. The aesthetics of this miniature are excellent, and the combination and form is rare. Hardly ever will you see a piece like this become available because few exist and those who own them tend to keep them. A rare example, with not only rhodo but also a few associated minerals.
