Item Description

From the Wendy Open Pit in Chile, this material is well known and are arguably the most famous Rodalquilarite specimens in the world. Rodalquilarite is an obscure iron tellurite, and there are fine, green, micro crystals of them lining several vugs of contrasting yellow-white Alunite, a sulfate. The Rodalquilarites are an attractive olive green, gemmy, and lustrous. A highly representative combination piece with this rare species, this was self-collected by Terry Szenics in the late 1990's (and has his original card, selling through Aurora Mineral Corp at the time). A fine rarity, valued $500-plus
