Item Description
Two pretty red-pink, translucent, stout, hexagonal ruby crystals are aesthetically intergrown atop the sculptural marble matrix. This showy and excellent piece is from an ancient locality in North Macedonia. The marble quarries here date back to at around 500 BCE and were at full peak during Roman times. It glows when back lit and has cherry-red to neon-orange fluorescence. Matrix specimens of this quality with translucent crystals are rarely available and this is a very fine example.
