This gem is an attractive, rich reddish-pink color, "Square" cut gemstone. This gem has a very eye-catching hue and the clarity is nearly eye-clean, which is certainly better than many of the Spinels on the market today. It is difficult to find superb quality Spinels, because of political upheaval in southeast Asia. It appears that these stones will soon be very very hard to come across and the days of the good Ruby Spinels may be dwindling.
