Schorl with Hyalite Opal (ex Shields Flynn Collection)

Item Description

A sculptural group of very sharp, rather lustrous, jet-black Schorl crystals with textbook trigonal terminations with associated with a small amount of Opal-AN (formerly "Hyalite" Opal) and solidified pocket clay on the reverse side. The piece is in great shape, but there are a few dings on the main crystal that I found, so it's not 100% pristine. The quality of the Schorls is superb from the standpoint of crystal form, razor-sharp faces and that glistening luster! It honestly could benefit from a little cleaning, but overall it's a very nice example of what are some of the best crystallized Schorls in the world. From the Collection of Shields Flynn.
