Pretty cornflower-blue intergrown nubby botryoids of shattuckite form a very sculptural small cabinet from the limited 2014 find at this less well-known extinct open pit copper mine, worked occasionally for specimens. Beautiful shimmering chatoyancy highlights the fantastic two-color rich cornflower-blue radial growth of the acicular crystals on the broken botryoids on the periphery of this striking two-sided specimen. The bottom shows, that this is a solid crust of shattuckite, a rare Cu-silicate. The aesthetic form of this piece is fine and is an excellent example in the small lot we recently received. Valued at $350 by the former dealer and worth it.
