Item Description

A cool piece of the rarely seen Smithsonite from the famous Skorpion Mine. The piece is filled with lustrous, translucent, soft blue-green colored aggregates of Smithsonite forming an attractive group aesthetically sitting on a layer of sparkling gemmy, colorless micro crystals (which are either Hemimorphite or Tarbuttite) on host rock matrix. The Smithsonite group measures 2.3 cm at its widest dimension. It's a cool specimen from this well-known zinc mine, and you don't see them on the market anymore. This particular piece was mined circa 2010.
