Item Description

Here we have an attractive association specimen from one of the most storied and well known districts in Colorado. The various pegmatite localities around the Lake George area of Colorado have produced iconic specimens of Amazonite and Smoky Quartz. This piece has no Amazonite but features a fine, sharp, lustrous, somewhat gemmy, richly colored, prismatic Smoky Quartz crystal which plays host to sharp metallic grey pseudomorphs of Hematite after rhombic Siderite. These specimens are not nearly as common on the market as they were years ago, so don't miss out on this great Colorado classic. This one is certainly good quality for the material. From the collection of Lee B. Burnett (#LB 292).
