Item Description
A relatively large, translucent, medium violet crystal section of Hackmanite is partially encased in light colored matrix from an unusual marble occurrence in Burma. The Hackmanite is exceptionally beautiful with its violet color and it displays bright orange fluorescence in long wave UV and when removed from the UV light it shows marked tenebrescence leaving the Hackmanite a very deep lavender color for several minutes! Both stunning and interesting as a fluorescent specimen as well as a locality piece for the species!
