Item Description

Hundreds of lustrous, black, Sphalerite crystals populate this excellent, small cabinet piece from the famous Huanzala Mine in Peru. The Sphalerites range from about 1-4 mm, and they grow in concert with colorful, iridescent Chalcopyrites that range up to 1.4 cm (although some have small damages, they do add contrast and color). They drape over a matrix of beautiful and lustrous Pyrite growing in cubes up to 1.6 cm. Highly aesthetic, and sparkly specimen. There are even a few Quartz crystals thrown in to remind us that there is even room for silicates in sulphide heaven. Formerly from John Veevaert.
