Stilbite with Heulandite Stalactites (ex Tom Campbell Collection)

Many of the minerals (mostly zeolites) found in the Deccan Trap are the finest crystallized representations of their respective species ever found. This piece is a great example of said material featuring several fine quality bladed groups of Stilbite (specifically Stilbite-Ca) of a soft white color measuring up to 2.2 cm sitting atop pearly stalactitic formations of peach colored Heulandite. The piece is very showy and three dimensional, and I love how the Stilbites are free-standing and flaring aesthetically off of the Heulandite. A very attractive specimen of this classic material.
