Item Description

A simply stunning example of perfect crystallization in a rare species, this is a lustrous, colorless, transparent, sharp-edged single crystal that literally exhibited the best development of the species. From Cal Graeber (Fallbrook, California), March 14, 2014. Illustrated in Minerals: The Collectors Newspaper, 2014; 8: 19. Appraised value in the collection was $2,200.00, and considered one of the finest examples of the species from a single modern find that eclipsed all previous known examples. Colorless, but with such a shape and a luster that it leaps out! Recently published in Mineralogical Record, Refined Elegance: The Small Treasures of Mineralogy, November 2022.
