Item Description

These specimens are the world's most well-known crystals of Sulfur. This piece is a good example of this famous, classic material featuring electric yellow colored, gemmy / translucent Sulfur crystals with well-formed faces free of matrix. It's actually crystallized nearly all the way around (there is a contact on the back), but the majority of the crystals are damage free. Please note: The species should now be spelled S-U-L-F-U-R as both the International Union of Pure and Applied Chemistry along with the British Royal Society of Chemistry adopted this spelling in the 1990s (see https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sulfur#Spelling_and_etymology)
