Item Description
Striking chatoyant tremolite prisms dramatically cover both sides of this superb and RARE large solid scultpural plate from an obscure locality in the famous Bancroft area of Ontario. The impressive large dominating prism is 4.3 cm long. The label says the Snowdon Iron Mine in the Township, but it could be from the Dancey Tremolite occurrence. Irregardless, tremolite specimens of this magnificent quality and size are extremely rare from here! Ex Robert Nowakowski Collection # 379 and collected by Alfred Stevenson in the early 1960s. A MUST for the locality or species collector!
