Tourmaline (Doubly terminated)

Item Description

An adorable, classic, desirable, gemmy, doubly terminated, bi-colored tourmaline from the famous Himalaya Mine. The two terminations are distinctively different on this beautiful, very glassy, well-striated trigonal crystal. A nifty, narrow, blue-green section lies beneath the modified pinacoid termination. A glorious, gemmy, vivid "Himalaya pink" section follows. The mid-section is gem bottle-green. Variable pink to nearly colorless tourmaline is below the asymmetrical pyramidal termination. Scattered lilac Lepidolite crystals on the sides are super accessories to this fine tourmaline. In excellent shape overall. A contact on one edge of the pyramidal termination, with no damage, per se and a trivial, out-of-sight contact on the pinacoidal termination are noted, but certainly have only minimal impact to the excellent quality of the crystal. A classic, colorful, bi-colored DT tourmaline from the renowned locale. Mass is 36 grams. George Loud collection.
