Beautiful, sharp, lustrous, gemmy brick-red, hexagonal, tabular vanadinite prisms strikingly cover both sides of this very rich and sculptural small cabinet plate from Mibladen. The prisms clustered atop the dramatic crest of the front reach 1.6 cm. The contrasting crusts of black manganese oxides on the very thin barite matrix are a fine and typical accessory. The prisms on the front have only minimal brown oxide coatings, typical for some finds at Mibladen. The back of this cutie is even more densely covered with vannies, but here the preferential oxide coatings are more prevalent.
