Item Description

Outstanding, 2 cm fan of bladed Vivianites, on phosphate matrix, from Florida. The bladed habit is unusual, and the fan-shaped arrangement even more so. Likely mined in the mid-1980s, this aesthetic miniature is a significant Vivianite for both Florida and the US. This was recently deaccessed from the extensive collection of Bob Reynolds, who cherished both minerals and fossils as he collected. Bob is a prolific author and has had several curating positions in museums.
