A sculptural solid, 4-sided piece of highly lustrous, moderately translucent, yellowish-brown wax opal from a Czech collection. Wax opal specimens from the famous opal deposits of the Zemplen Mountains of Hungary are uncommon compared to other varieties. The label has a 1979 date. Mass is 136 grams. Old material!
