This gorgeous, cabinet-sized Wulfenite specimen is from the 2006-2007 series of finds at the Jianshan Mine, and features a large number of distinct, and very saturated red-orange, bladed crystals. These have the color red that you wish a Red Cloud wulfenite would have, red more than red-orange. I have seldom seen so many sharp and sparkly Chinese Wulfenite crystals filling one display face like this before, and it just glows with intense color. The color is definitely more red than orange, and it's the juiciest red-orange you could want from this mine. Displaying quite nicely on the matrix, the Wulfenites are between 3 mm and 1 cm across and somewhat translucent with darker centers. I rather, like the size and overall visual impact obtained from such a large Chinese Wulfenite , and it clearly looks different to the eye than anything remotely comparable in size from other localities. It is robust, easy to ship, as well. There is little damage to the Wulfenites at the interior display portion of the piece and only localized damage around the periphery - so we would describe it as nearly pristine. Any new find of crystallized Wulfenite always causes great excitement, and this find in China was no exception - but sadly it tapered off into seconds and surplus in later years.
