Item Description

Extremely large plate of thin tabular butterscotch-colored Wulfenite blades on a limonitic matrix. Both sides are covered with a forest of intergrown Wulfenite crystals up to 2.3 cm in size. Some crystals exhibiting bevelled edges and tapered corners. The front side does show that a number of the razor thin Wulfenite crystals are broken, while the opposite side exhibits a couple seams or vugs that provide some protection for the crystals. All in all a very richly Wulfenite covered piece from Touissit. Ex. Kurt Hefendehl. This is a HUGE and significantly intact plate for what it is, and we would request this not be sent overseas unless hand delivery could be arranged, or the buyer is ok with possible damage in transit. Hand delivery is preferred due to the nature of the specimen making it difficult to pack, although it is actually quite robust for what it is, and easy to safely handle. Valued $3500-4500.
