Item Description
A classic and cute layered compound miniature wulfenite crystal from famed Tsumeb. The very glassy and lustrous straw-yellow crystal is transparent to translucent and is accented with typical beveled edges. Preferential sparkly sugary drusy quartz coatings add much character. A bonus on the back features the wulfenite altering to black mottramite. Nearly pristine with only trivial periphery wear. Formerly in the Willy Israel Collection of Belgium and acquired from Clive Queit in 1984 (label). Ex Bob Reynolds Collection, a well-known fossil and mineral expert and Curator of the San Bernardino County Museum. He passed away in 2020. Quartz is relatively rare from Tsumeb and to see it on an excellent wulfenite crystal is a rare bonus.
