Item Description

Tsumeb is one of the greatest mineral localities in history. The wide number of excellent crystallized mineral species is virtually unmatched from any other world locality. This piece is a wonderful small cabinet specimen featuring many sharp, lustrous, gemmy, eye-catching reddish colored bladed crystals of Wulfenite measuring up to 4 mm on the top/display side, but if you flip the piece over, you'll see there are additional Wulfenite crystals with more of a soft golden color. On both sides of the piece, you'll also see little gemmy Mimetite crystals, which range in color from a soft golden hue to more of a stark yellow shade. The Wulfenites on the front are a notably different color than most you'll see, not only from Tsumeb, but almost anywhere else. They're not completely red, as they show some silvery and golden hues when backlit, and they're very fun to view with a loupe or under the microscope. If you're a Wulfenite collector or a fan of Tsumeb minerals, this is a really cool piece to add to your collection.
