Item Description

A simply classic Wulfenite specimen from the famous Erupcion Mine at Los Lamentos. The habit is layered and sandwich-like, which is the classic habit for the locality and muted butterscotch hues. The largest crystal is 2.6 cm cm on edge, and there is but a little wear on the crystal, They are in very good shape. For what the crystals lack in vivid color, they more than make up for it with a lustrous shimmer that is remarkably eye-catching. The geometry of the piece is such that the tabular crystals are presented perfectly, creating a terrific, sculptural aesthetic that is second to none. This was recently deaccessed from the extensive collection of Bob Reynolds, who cherished both minerals and fossils as he collected. Bob is a prolific author and has had several curating positions in museums.
