Item Description

A classic and unusual thumbnail specimen of Adamite from the world famous Tsumeb Mine. The piece is not like most Adamites from this prolific specimen-producing mine, as it features a soft green hue (very similar to the color of Paravauxite) and the fact that the crystals are flattened / "disc"-shaped and intergrown to form a semi-"rosette" all add up to its uniqueness. The plethora of habits and colors of Adamite from Tsumeb is vast to be sure, but like so many species from Tsumeb, there were isolated finds of a lot of species that don't resemble anything else from the mine. I found one piece on mindat that looks similar in color habit for comparison ( https://www.mindat.org/photo-105849.html ). This is not your typical Tsumeb Adamite, and would make a great addition to any Tsumeb suite or a thumbnail collection.
