Hematite (iridescent) (ex Rolando Gioia Collection)

Item Description

Hexagonal crystals of silvery-grey Hematite with a distinctive "peacock" colored iridescence from this obscure locality in Brazil. The crystals are fairly thick for the material, and the top of the piece shows good overall form. The sides are contacted where it was removed from the pocket, but these are hard to find, and certainly worth picking up if you collect Hematites or Brazilian minerals.
