Item Description

A VERY rarely seen specimen of Baveno twinned Microcline with acicular brownish-green crystals of Epidote from Strzegom (Striegau) in Poland. The twin is actually very well-defined with a multi-stepped appearance, that is broken up by the layer of Epidote to reveal each face. If you collect material from this historic region, or just worldwide Feldspars, you canot afford to miss out on this rare locality specimen. Ex Kay Robertson Collection (#906). Kay is a prominent California collector, who specialized in European classics (see the article in the March-April, 2007 Mineralogical Record and the 50+ page article in the German Magazine "Mineralien Velt" November-December 2017). Valued at $600.
