An impressive large calcite combination from renowned Tsumeb. This sculptural piece is composed of dramatically intergrown glassy, translucent, light pastel-pink flattened calcite rhombs with fabulously dense shimmering stepped-growth faces. The striking large central crystal is 6.0 cm across. The matrix on one side has a green duftite coating, a typical accessory and adds nice contrast. The noted perphery wear on a couple of sides is certainly acceptable in the context of this large example of this varietal. It displays beautifully from either side without aid and the interior is pristine. Choice material from the Art Soregaroli Collection. Tsumeb, like Dal'negorsk is renowned for calcite diversity and quality and this is a very fine large example of the style from the 2nd Oxidation Zone. Valued at $1500-2000.
