Scheelite on Muscovite

This locality has produced some of the most distinctive and signature specimens from China. The best of the Scheelites are incredible and world class for what they are. This particular piece features a few good sized, distinctive, sharp, lustrous, translucent, golden orange color, pseudo-octahedral crystals of Scheelite aesthetically sitting on bladed, silvery Muscovite crystals to creat a very showy and three-dimensional specimen. The quality is good and these are some of the finest examples of crystallized Scheelite in the world. The largest Scheelite measures 2.7 cm. The main crystal is undamaged, but some of the secondary crystals are not 100% complete. Interestingly, the Muscovite has formed somewhat geometric, smooth "plane"-like growths, which makes me believe it may have formed as a pseudomorph or a "cast" after another species.
