Pyrrhotite with Galena

A beautiful and showy display specimen of tabular, sharp, lustrous, metallic, bronze colored crystals of Pyrrhotite associated with silvery-grey Galena. Minor golden metallic Chalcopyrite and tan colored Calcite make for some excellent contrasting highlights. This is a great association piece with excellent quality undamaged crystals. The vast majority of the fine Pyrrhotites seen recently have likely come from Dal 'negorsk, but the specimens from Trepca are among the finest from anywhere in Europe. Great quality overall, and very attractive in person. Valued at $1,800 in the inventory.
