Item Description

Volborthite is an uncommon hydrated copper vanadate secondary mineral found in the oxidized zones of vanadium-bearing hydrothermal deposits. A large, rich specimen with beautiful clusters of yellow-green volborthite on sandstone matrix from a very obscure Utah locality. It comes with an old museum label, though I am unsure from which institution this was. Ex. Lawrence Conklin Collection.
