Description:Splendent, sharp, hematite crystals comprise this showy and excellent old-time specimen from the famous iron mines of Elba. This locality dates back to the times of the Etruscans, and is one of the great classic European localities. The scattered quartz points are a nice accent and the piece displays well from either side. The faded paper label on the back confirms, that this is an older piece. Ex Robert Whitmore Collection
