Item Description
A very fine, stout, blocky, sharp and lustrous doubly terminated deep black-green epidote crystal from the famous Prince of Wales Island, Alaska. The areas of translucent olive-green color and small attached quartz and epidote crystals add much pizzazz. This crystal is in excellent condition with notably smooth to striated, well-formed faces. It is a twin, as you can clearly see the common plane at one end of the crystal. High quality old-time and hard to obtain material. From an East Coast collection and comes with a faded label from early 1900s (when copper mining started here) to the mid-1930s.
