Item Description
Goethite/limonite specimens are rare from the old 1800s iron or lead mines of Chester County and a well-formed geode is especially rare. I looks like a "horn of plenty" or a hollow Paleozoic brachiopod, by the nice symmetry! Undoubtably older material, but no proof. Ex Bob Trimingham Collection and obtained in a trade at the Village Rock Shop in Morgantown, PA in 1977.
