Item Description

A classic and fine quality Wulfenite specimen from the famous locality at Tsumeb. The piece is extremely lustrous with a slight golden-straw hue along with sharp, well-formed faces. Very little damge. With the price of Tsumeb specimens rising daily, this is a great opportunity to snag a classic specimen from what is considered by most people to be the most prolific mineral locality in the world. Valued at $500. This piece comes from the collection of Willard W. Wulff (1904-1998) of Colorado Springs, Colorado, a prominent figure and collector of Colorado minerals. Wulff was one of the founding members of the Colorado Springs Mineralogical Society in 1936. You can read Willard's bio on the Mineralogical Record website here ( http://www.minrec.org/labels.asp?colid=1528 ). The piece comes mounted in a "Perky" box from Wulff stating it came from A.S.D.M. minerals in Tucson, Arizona in 1985.
