Item Description

For all the Fluorite specimens that have come out of China, the specimens from the Xianghualing Mine are among the finest in my mind in terms of luster and incredibly GEM clarity. This a rather attractive Fluorite specimen featuring sharp, WATER-CLEAR, (almost ice-like) lovely green color, cubic crystals (with dodecahedral modifications) free of matrix. The largest crystal measures 1.8 cm on edge. The specimen displays very nicely from a few angles, and just looks like a pool of liquid green in your hands. The faces of the crystals have very good luster as well. Due to the incredible clarity of the crystals, the piece was rather difficult to photograph, but you can see straight through it. Minor roughness along the periphery, but it's in really good shape overall. Lastly, it must be noted that the color of these crystals really stands out under fluorescent lighting as opposed to incandescent lighting, but the piece truly must be seen in person to appreciate it gemminess and elegant beauty.
