Classic material from the famous Shangbao Mine. This small cabinet specimen is filled with fine quality, pearly, sharp, well-formed, pink rhombohedra of Dolomite measuring up to 1.6 cm on edge which are sitting on prismatic Quartz crystals on matrix, forming a very eye-catching display specimen. Great quality all around, with only a few minor rough spots. This is very good quality Dolomite, and the fine pink color makes it all the more desirable. From the worldwide collection of David Burgess (1951-2016). David was a prolific species collector from Newington, Connecticut, and the namesake for the extremely rare cobalt arsenate species Burgessite, which he discovered.
