Item Description

Despite the fact that there are only a handful of minerals found at the Elmwood mine, some of them are among the most recognizable minerals in the world. The classic Fluorites are a favorite among collectors, and it's easy to see why. This piece features a handful of gemmy, good sized, sharp, beautiful soft lilac color cubic crystals of Fluorite measuring up to 5.6 cm on edge sitting on "Ruby Jack" reddish-brown Sphalerite. A classic example of an Elmwood Fluorite. The piece has a few minor imperfections, but overall it is great shape, and it's aesthetic to boot. This piece is close to 30 years old, and is a worthwhile display piece especially coming from this prominent and celebrated zinc ore body! Valued at $900.
