Item Description
Marialite (Scapolite) is well known in the gem and mineral world, but good crystals aren't terribly common on the market. This piece is a very nice and it's actually from an old Scapolite find in Brazil from the 1970's. It's a good quality, sharp, lustrous, gemmy, soft yellow colored prism with hydrothermal etching patterns on the exterior. The termination is undamaged and shows a slight "bubbly" form. This Brazilian material is very hard to find on the market, and is difficult to find these days. Please note that the specific species in Marialite, as Scapolite is actually not a species, but a group name. Specimen weigh is 3.82 grams.
