Item Description

A beautiful specimen of Siderite from Mont Saint-Hilaire, featuring sharp, well-formed, brownish-green colored, compressed rhombic and trigonal crystals measuring up to 2.1 cm free of matrix. The piece is very showy, three-dimensional and is nearly crystallized all the way around creating a near "floater" specimen. Great material, and these Siderites are iconic are sought after from MSH. It is now difficult to obtain specimens from this locality as collecting has been limited / reduced in recent years, so if you collect minerals from this world famous prolific locality, don't miss out on this attractive thumbnail.
