Item Description

This is a unique variety of Quartz from the finest occurrence in the world. Ametrine is a naturally occurring purple and yellow bi-color variety that is formed by the "Brazil" Twinning Law where two separate individually colored crystals are intergrown to form an alternating "radiation" pattern of purple and yellow triangles when viewed down the c axis. This two colors are oriented from these crystals to cut the famous bicolor gemstones. Here we have a natural, bi-color purple and yellow, colorful polished slab of Ametrine. The piece is nearly water clear in areas and shows true NATURAL (UNHEATED) yellow Citrine, which is incredibly rare in nature. A very cool representative "slab" of this material that is only found in one place in the world in this quality and capacity! Weight = 177.02 grams. Valued at $900 in the inventory for size, quality, color and gemminess.
