Item Description

From a discovery in 2016, this piece is certainly a rarity for the locality and the country of Morocco in general. I honestly don't remember seeing many pieces of Olivenite from any locality in Morocco, and these fairly new specimens are certainly a welcomed sight for anybody who likes minerals from this country. Gorgeous olive-green "sprays" of brilliant "needles" of Olivenite has formed with deep royal blue colored, highly lustrous "rosettes" of Azurites on oxidized matrix. The largest group measures 8 mm across. The piece is in excellent condition on the display side, and it honestly looks better in person. If you missed out on these when they hit the market a couple years ago, now is a great time to scoop this one up for your collection of thumbnails, secondary ore minerals or Moroccan specimens.
