Item Description

In addition to the some of the world's best Garnets, the Jeffrey Mine in Canada can lay claim to some of the finest Pectolite crystals found. These well-formed clusters of bladed to tabular Pectolite crystals have excellent luster, good gemminess, and are a medium shade of green. The largest group actually measures 2.1 cm, which is very good for the species and the locality. The white to gray matrix has moderate fluorescence, though I am not quite sure exactly what its composition is. This piece likely dates to the 1970s or early 1980s. A large and very fine specimen for this famous mine. Valued at $1600 for the size, quality and aesthetics.
