Item Description

A scuptural stout freestanding "sail" of bright copper is aesthetically set in the blocky matrix on this rich and very showy specimen from the famous Ray Mine. Most of the copper is hackly, but some spinel-twins are noted, adding pizzazz. The copper vein extends out of the bottom of the matrix and was possibly etched out of the matrix. An excellent and artistic two-sided matrix copper from this famous Arizona locale. Ex Joe Lobell Collection.
