Item Description

An aesthetic and sculptural small cabinet olmiite combination from the 2016 aptly named Chocolate Pocket find at this famous mine. Two distinctively sized olmiite "balls" (1.9 and 1.3 cm) are jauntily set on the undulating matrix covered with two generations of scintillating calcite crystals. The larger crystals are water-clear with the smaller crystals being oxide tinted. The balls are composed of densely intergrown, lustrous, translucent, orthorhombic crystals with reddish-brown color. They light up, when back lit. The frontal display view is pristine. A very fine, fascinating and colorful small cabinet combination from the New Find.
