Item Description

Two generations of pyromophite cover all sides of the mounded barite matrix on this visually striking and aesthetic specimen from famed Les Farges. The larger, lightly hoppered, honey-brown barrels are dramatically and preferentially set along the ridgecrest of this 3-sided piece. An earlier generation of tiny, lustrous, translucent golden-yellow prisms covers all three sides of this classic and excellent example of this varietal on barite. Nearly pristine, with only a few bruised crystals and a bit of periphery wear. A very artistic two-sided specimen, self-collected by Paul Zerfass # 1516. It reminds me of an Imperial battleship or cruiser from Star Wars!
