Item Description

Striking jackstraw bundles of pearlescent snow-white splintery cerussite blades to about 2.5 cm artistically and densely cover all sides of the sturdy gossan matrix. The matrix on many specimens can be very friable, so this is a very fine small cabinet specimen. Flux Mine cerussites are a highly desirable Arizona classic. Mining ceased in 1963, but collectors made major finds from the 1950s to 1982, when further access was forbidden. Choice and classic material from the Bruce Murphy Arizona Collection.
