Item Description

RARE, old-time, impressive large malalchite from this obscure extinct Namibia copper mine near the famous Kombat Mine, that was active from 1919-1931. Two striking large, lustrous crystallized primary malachite botryoids are dramatically set in partitioned vugs lined with lustrous dolomite in the large sawed sculptural matrix. Both of the fantastic and rare balls are 4.0 cm across. The Rodgerberg Mine is well-known for excellent dioptase specimens, but malachite specimens, especially of this fantastic quality and size, are EXTREMELY RARE! Unique old-time combination material from the Shields Flynn Collection. Valued at $2000-2500 for rarity, style, quality and size.
