Item Description

Rhodochrosite specimens are uncommon from the N'Chwaning II Mine compared to the famous finds at the N'Chwaning I Mine. Two generations of rhodo are visible on the sawed miniature matrix plate. Scintillating, tiny, gemmy rose-red rhombs cover the earlier generation of pastel-pink rhodo seen along the edges. Tiny crystals or blebs of manganite or hematite are uncommon and excellent accessories. Ex W.S. Logan Collection # X68-3.
