Item Description

Beautiful, striking radial sprays of juicy, two-toned yellow-green pyromorphite spindles aesthetically fill a sculptural curved 6.0 x 6.9 vug in large hefty lead ore matrix. The spindles reach 1.0 cm and the dense band of micro arborescent pyromorphites flanking the vug is a super accent. The very vuggy gossan ore matrix contains much microcrystalline cerussite and pyromorphite. This excellent and rich large specimen is from the well-known 1997 find at the San Andres Mine. San Andres pyros are considered to be the finest Spanish examples and this is an excellent, colorful, rich and highly representative large piece. Ex Sanabria Collection.
