Scintillating, gem, cherry-red, rubyjack sphalerite crystals, to 5 mm, are festooned on this very impressive and rich old-time plate from the historic Joplin Field. The back is typical for the locale gray chert matrix, diagnostic of Tri-State specimens. From an East Coast collection and comes with century-old faded label. Classic, exceptional Tri-State sphalerite.
